1) How do I select a gate design?
We recommend that you look at the gate gallery and find an example that you like. Then, fill out the contact request form or call us and ask about the design # that you like and ask questions about, e.g. Will this gate fit in your location? Should it be a swing gate or slide gate? What kind of gate finish should you use? Do you want to change the curve, height, or picket sizes? Do you want different ornamentation?
2) What areas do you work in?

3) What if I want a camera or surveillance equipment?
We install CCTV equipment for your outside entrance area. It can be pinhole, surface mounted, color, black and white, or infrared. And, we can hook it to your TV system or we can put in a dedicated monitor. We can add a DVR or recorder for video recording. We can also tie into internet networks to view over an intranet or the internet.
4) Do you do custom gates?
Yes, we do custom ornamental iron gates of all kinds; we also do wood gates mounted to steel frames. We have a line of prefabricated gates, and we can purchase ready made gates from others such as chain link or aluminum.

6) Does Access Control Systems repair damaged gates ?
Yes, we specialize in fixing damaged gates and gate systems. We do this all the time.
7) What kind of experience (number of years in business) do you have and how many gate systems have you installed?
We have been in the gate and control business for 21 years and our principals have been doing this kind of work since 1980. Since 1987, we have installed 3200 gate systems.
8) What kind of finish (paint or other) can I get on my gate?
We offer a full line of primed and painted colors to choose from. Also, we recommend powder coated finishes for long life. Some customers like a rusty look which we do by leaving the steel unpainted. We accelerate the oxidation process for rust by applying an acid wash after fabrication.
9) What kind of decorative hardware can I get on my gate?
We have many catalogues of decorative hardware to pick from. We can find almost anything a customer wishes in the hardware arena.
10) Do you do wrought iron fencing?
Yes, we do all kinds of ornamental iron fencing, including security, pool, entry and decorative. We also do pedestrian gates.
11) What kind of security systems can I get?
We do not actually do entry security such as alarms and calls for law enforcement. We would recommend another company for this but we do work with security surveillance system installations and perimeter access control, gated entry, and door locking mechanisms.
12) Do you offer only iron gates or do you do other types also?
We do iron, aluminum, wood, chain link, brass, and bronze gates.
13) Do you have service contracts available?
Yes, we specialize in servicing everything we sell. After the warranty is over, we offer complete yearly service contracts.
14) Are you a green company?
We try to be as environmentally conscious as we can in these times where climate change is a major issue. We have already purchased diesel trucks for some of our crews to be able to use Bio-Diesel, a cleaner fuel source than petroleum diesel and we are committed to making future vehicle purchases with fuel efficiency and renewable fuels in mind. Our brochures are printed on Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified recycled content paper and we will soon be able to offer FSC-certified garage doors by our sister company, Sonoma Overhead Doors. We are also exploring paints with zero Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) as substitutes to oil-based paints for our gates and are asking our suppliers to use more recyclable materials in their packaging.
